I believe in a world that's reciprocal and non-exploitative.
One of the best lesson that I learned from my painting journey is that it's all made up. When my friends said "Omg, I love your painting." I was happy to gift it to them. When I was submitting my painting to a contest, I wrote down the estimated cost was $7,500. I didn't feel any different about myself or about my painting.
"Charge your worth", "If they are not willing to pay, they might not want it." "If you are not charging high enough, people won't take your seriously." These phrases are taking away our ability to care for collective sustainability and teaching us to devalue work that does not involve financial exchange. Let us build a world where we care about each other as community and take regenerative approach.
